ABOUT ME
I was born in Tucson, AZ where my love and passion for the world of theatre grew, specifically the area of designing sound. Having a background of playing music within concert, marching, and jazz band, it bridged two creative areas that have always been prominent in my life.
I received my Associate's in Theatre Arts at Mesa Community College where I had the opportunity to work on several shows that furthered my interest in sound design. My last year at MCC I was a national finalist at Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and won first place in Artists of Promise for Theatrical Design in Good 'N' Plenty. From these achievements, I was given the opportunity to display my work at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C and was offered a fellowship to work at the Contemporary American Theatre Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
I have graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Design and Production at Arizona State University in the spring of 2019. I am currently continuing my education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for a Master's degree in Sound Design Technology and am on track to graduate in spring 2022. Where I work as an audio graduate assistant and work on multiple shows, concerts, and touring shows each semester. As well, being an on-call engineer, filling a variety of duties, such as load-ins, sound checks, live-mixing, and trouble-shooting audio related problems.
Other endeavors include being head of audio in the Black Hills Playhouse, where I designed four shows and was the Assistant Master Electrician for their 2018 summer season. As well as working the 2019 summer season at the Old Lyric Repertory Theatre in Logan, Utah as an audio engineer.
