A story told through the language of poetry, is brought together by a group of young women in college in the midst of a school shooting. While the shooting is happening, the girls witness multiple deaths, hear the screams of people begging to live in a cascade of bullets. But they come to the realization that this bloodshed has a reason. It is because of the rape of a fellow classmate, named Emme. I took the mindset of Emme within my sound design and focused on the music she was listening to as the shooting began. I wanted the audience to feel for this character and understand her pain, but also have the audience quickly turn and be petrified of the murders that transpire within this event.
